Wedding Photography on a Budget

A wedding on a budget does not mean you have to settle for second best. I have been in this industry for over 15 years and cannot tell you how many times I have heard, "We are on a budget." I understand that you have to be on a budget but I also understand that you also need great wedding photographs. Believe me when I say, you can have a wedding on a budget and get GREAT wedding photography.

First, let's talk about what is important on your wedding day. The most important aspect of your wedding is that your family is all there and that you have fun. This is a day that you have dreamed about your whole life and it will be over in the blink of an eye. This is the very reason you need to make sure you have a professional photographer to capture your day. It might cost you a little more then you expected to spend but it will be worth it in the long run. Next on our list of importance is your DJ. You might be wondering what a DJ can do that you cannot get using your IPod and a couple of speakers. They both play music but your IPod can not get people out on the dance floor. Your DJ gets the party going and also makes sure your wedding flows. There is nothing worse than your guests sitting around wondering what is going on. After this you can then select your florist and favors and such.

Remember, when you are planning your wedding, what do you want most? Do you want people to remember your wedding more then you want to remember your wedding? By having a professional photographer at your wedding, you are sure to remember your wedding well into your golden years. You will also be able to pass on your wedding photographs to your kids and to their kids. Yes, your dress, the location, the food, the flowers, all have their importance but if you need to cut out some of the flowers and maybe not include an open bar at your wedding so that you can have a professional photographer at your wedding, then that is what you might have to do. Trust me; you will thank me for this advice at your 10 year anniversary.

After your wedding is over and everyone has gone home, all you will have left is your wedding photography, so make sure it is the best.
